Helping my dad with his T151 and noticed the loader's moving like molasses on a cold day. Steering's not terrible yet but it's not crisp either. Does this point to a tired hydraulic pump or maybe a filter choking things off

I think you should check the hydraulic filter first if it's clogged. But if that's clean, then yeah, the pump might be breaking down. I had a similar issue on ours but it was just a filter swap.

Great advice! Thanks for pointing us in the right direction. Checking the filter will be our first job this weekend. When you replaced yours was it a simple swap or did you have to bleed the hydraulic lines afterward?

Too many folks blame tired pumps without ever checking service intervals. Most of these hydraulic issues are just neglected maintenance, not some grand mechanical failure waiting to happen.

We finally got a chance to pull the hydraulic filter a couple of weeks ago and it was completely plugged. A new filter and fluid made a world of difference. The loader is working properly again.
