I've been thinking about a 2023 Valtra Q Series and I stumbled upon info that it's apparently based on a Massey Ferguson 8s. Has anyone run one of these? Curious if it really feels different or if it's basically just a rebadged MF.

I've been using a 2024 Valtra Q305 on our farm since early spring, mostly for pulling a big disc and grain cart. It's built like a Massey Ferguson, but the cab, buttons, and Valtra's screen make it feel different. The ride is smoother too, especially on bumpy fields. It's more than just a name change in my view.

The engine and transmission are the same, so the difference is in the design and the tech and Valtra is a bit more on the premium side so if you fancy that, go for the Q

@Akabane from what I’ve seen, the Q Series ride and cab feel way different from a standard MF. Definitely more refined, especially on rough fields.

Thanks for the insights @APC_2587 and @Cropsqares. Sounds like the tech and cab really make a difference then, not just the badge. I’m leaning toward checking one out in person to feel that smoother ride myself.
